Facebook influencer NasDaily to meet fans in Singapore for video collaboration on 22 August

Updates: Nas Daily updated on his Facebook post that the location has been changed to Singapore Indoor Stadium (North Stairs) at 5pm to 7pm on 22 August.

If you’re a fan of scrolling through Facebook during a dull moment, you’ve probably at some point come across the popular vlogger Nas.

Nas is famously known for his daily one minute videos which he uploads on his Facebook page, NasDaily. The star is known for travelling all over the world and learning about cultures and practices and then making videos about them to educate his viewers.

On Tuesday (21 Aug) Singaporeans were pleasantly taken by surprised when Nas announced through his Facebook page that he would be making a stop in Singapore on 22 August.

In the post, Nas encouraged fans living in Singapore to meet him at Esplanade Park at 5pm by the river  Singapore Indoor Stadium (North Stairs) at 5pm to 7pm so that he could make a video with them.

He added that he would be there from 5pm to 6.30pm.

DEAR SINGAPORE!!

I’m so sorry for the late notice, but I have just arrived to your country and I’d love to make videos with you and meet you in person!!

Let’s meet tomorrow (Public holiday on Wednesday) at 5 PM at Esplanade Park (exact coordinates: 1.288470, 103.853467) by the river there are “stairs” so we’ll be huddles there!

We will be there from 5 to 6:30 PM and we’ll get to know each other, make a video, that’s 1 minute see you tomorrow, then say goodbye!

Feel free to bring friends or come by yourself. See you on Wednesday! I’m pumped to make videos here!

Additionally, Nas has created a Whats app group for people living in Singapore to join so that he can ask questions and film his next one minute long video.

Neon Lights festival returns for a three-day celebration of the best indie acts

Singapore’s biggest indie music festival, Neon Lights, is back for a third instalment this November with a stacked line-up spanning three days. The festival returns to Fort Canning Park from November 9 to November 11, complete with headline acts and indie legends from all around the world.

After successful runs in 2015 and 2016, local indie fans were left disappointed when Neon Lights took a break last year. The organisers made a promise the festival would return in full strength in 2018 and that it did. Festival director Declan Forde said they were thrilled to be returning and had put a lot of thought into the line-up to ensure both quality and diversity so everyone could enjoy the festival to the fullest.

Kicking things off on November 9 is Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna who will be serenading the crowd in her first public performance in over a year.

Fans of Interpol are also in luck because the band from New York will be making their Asian debut with a full set on November 10.
